NEW JOB!

Hey Howdy Hey! It's my lucky day! I was offered the job that I've been interviewing for these past 4 weeks. It is with a Physicians Management group of which a friend of mine recommended me for the position. I was confident in my skills, but have been waiting for an offer for many days. HOORAY! We are blessed.

Say Cheese!

Well, after 3 long years of tortuous procedures, the braces came off today...Hallelujah! Alex was pretty excited and so was Mom to see that beautiful $5K smile from ear to ear minus the hardware...don't they look fabulous? He does have an upper and lower retainer that he will wear full time, any bets on how long it will take to lose one? (I think before all was said and done, Landon lost 3...it is inevitable)

This week went by pretty slow with Alex at scout camp. It was good to see him Saturday afternoon..he was missed. We had about 20 people over that evening for a BBQ so there was no rest for the boy until late.

We have had several new families move into our ward over the past few weeks so we invited a few over for a get to know your ward picnic. The weather was cooperative and we were able to have everyone outside all evening long. Madi was in heaven with babies and toddlers to play with and hold. We had another 2 new families show up this past Sunday so we are growing...I love it!

What's in a name....

Can you imagine, Ethan times 3? HAHAHAHA! We saw this license plate up at the Legends shopping center this weekend. Ethan actually spotted it and we just happened to have the camera in the car..

Another Week in our Lives

Well, another week has flown by in the Evans Household. Here's a recap of what happened....... Ethan had an awesome time at Cub day camp all last week . Patrick attended with him all day Wednesday and had a blast with him. He was one tired E-dog when Friday rolled around.

Madi, Alex and Landon all had Soccer tryouts this week and "made" their respective teams. Alex and Landon are returning to their teams from last season and Madison is joining a new team that is actually being coached by the same man that coaches Landon. We are excited to see how that all works out for us. Landon is trying out for the Wizard's Club tonight, too. It is a prettty cool developmental program for the KC Wizards to train perspective players...We'll let you know how that turns out for him...

Ethan Started his indoor summer season yesterday. Indoor soccer is so much fun to watch, and you gotta love those 20 min halves! Do you get the idea that soccer never ends for us?

I had an additional interview with HIMS, a physicians management group, on Thursday It took about 2 hours to do all the testing and interviewing. They are supposed to let me know what their decision is this coming week. A friend, Tom Frederickson, is a Dr. in that group and suggested that I apply. It's hard to say what will happen. I hope I get the job, they have great benefits and also have certification classes available for their employees.

I wish I had the $ and time to just go back to school and be a nurse! I looked into it and they do have a program at JCCC, just up the street from me...it is tempting...I wonder if I could get student loans? Any advice out there? Somedays I just wish I had a fairy godmother!!!

Gag Me With a Spoon!

If I hear one more news report on Paris Hilton I think I will scream..do the crime, pay with time girl! I am sick of hearing about her...as many of you have heard me comment before, a girl with so much money and influence could and should be doing so much more than she is. What a waste.... that's all for now. Word to your mother...

SYDNEY CAT, SYDNEY CAT, What are they feeding you?

Yikes! Sydney wanted to make an appearance on our Blog. Should've picked a more convenient time for her to pose. She is a crazy kitty!

Happy Father's Day!

Hey dad! I got you this fine picture of a cool corvette stingray for Father's day. It was b-e-a-utiful!

Job Hunting

I started the job hunt, again, and have a couple of good leads so far. I am just amazed at the amount of stuff that you have to do to be a job candidate...personality profiles, math tests, reading tests, typing tests, excel tests and the list goes on and on. I guess you can't be too careful these days... I will let you know what I come up with. Our school secretary just retired and that position is open...I am considering that as I would be able to see my kids and have a fairly similar schedule as them...I'll let you know.

The 2nd week of summer has now passed. Darci spent the week at girls camp and had a great time.

Patrick, the boys , and Madi stayed home and enjoyed a night of free Chipotle burritos and several hamburger helper surprises.

Work was busy and the kids helped keep up with dishes, laundry, lawnmowing, etc..

Landon is driving a 2002 Kia Spectra that we got dirt cheap. It is a stick and he can now go without a major lurch. He is willing to get kids places for us. AHHHHHH! Berrry Nice.

Ethan starts cub camp in the morning. Next week is scout camp for Alex. The next week is soccer camp for Landon and Alex and then Youth conference for Landon. Busy days.
